Spend the day exploring the region's many vineyards; walk to famous riesling trail, or drive the pretty scenic routes.

Wineries, fine dining, arts and crafts, collectibles and one of South Australia's best pubs, are just a brief stroll away.

The Clare Valley's reputation for riesling which inspired the naming of the Clare Valley Riesling Trail, passes right by the cottage; a multi-use recreational trail for walking and cycling, which presently utilises a 25km disused section of a former railway line. This section meanders the length of the beautiful Clare Valley wine region.

The Clare township is just 20 kms from Auburn, via some of Australia's most famous wineries. Historic towns of Watervale, Sevenhill and Leasingham, with their rolling vineyards, are situated south of Clare. Auburn is the ideal base to explore this lovely region.
